THE 2008 COACHES UNITED BASEBALL CLINIC IS THIS SATURDAY!

NOTE: Registration day of event is 15.00 paid registration received before Friday June 6th by Midnight is only 10.00!

This years clinic will be better than ever with special guest Ike Blessitt Jr.  Former Detroit Tiger and Toledo Mud Hen! Ike will be our Hitting instructor for the day and will sign autographs from 4 to 5pm!

The Coaches United Baseball Clinic came about when several coaches from our Pee Wee and Rookie divisions realized the players could use further guidance than what they could learn on the field.

     The coaches decided to unite together and hold this clinic to develop players and prepare them for higher levels of play.

     In the course of putting this together, the support for the idea was overwhelming.  We have several sponsors willing to contribute to the effort and a very SPECIAL GUEST had announced he will come to the clinic and help the kids!  That SPECIAL GUEST is Doug Merrill, Head Coach for the Bowling Green High School Baseball Team!! Coach Merrill will bring with him a few players and they will help each station of the clinic!

      Here is a little about Coach Merrill from himself; 

     "I have been Head Baseball Coach at Bowling Green High School for the past six years.  Prior to that I was the Head Baseball Coach at Otsego High School for three years.  Prior to that I have served as assistant baseball coach at Elmwood, Eastwood, and Otsego.  During my time spent as a Head baseball coach in high school, our teams have won two league titles, two sectional state titles, one district state title, and one regional state appearance.  My time spent as a little league coach at carter park, our teams have won eight city league championships, three world series appearances  (one third place finish) in Brainard Minnisota.  I have been named Northern Lakes League "Coach of the year" twice 2004, 2005."

     We are VERY happy to have Coach Merrill as part of our team for this event!  This is going to be a great learning experience at a very small price!

     We are only charging 10 dollars (15.00 day of event) per child and this covers what the sponsors are not.  No one is making profit at this. All the coaches including Coach Merrill and his staff are volunteering their time!! Please remember to say "Thanks" the next time you see any of these people!

     The clinic is open to all players, currently playing in our league.

     Thanks to these sponsors, the kids will receive as part of their registration, The clinic training, Hot Dog and Pop, T-Shirt, One game of Bowling and Tokens for the Batting Cages at Swing Time Sports and a sports water bottle!
